| Exhibit Checklist The objects in California 1900 are drawn primarily from the permanent collections of county historical societies and museums throughout the state. Each of these organizations was asked to submit objects representing their county or community in the year 1900. Contributors were encouraged to think broadly, to consider the diversity of their region, and to select a variety of potential items for exhibition. The objects they chose represent the quintessential products, scenes, and activities of their counties at the turn of the century. Alameda County Photographer unknown.
